Hey everyone,

Just wanted to let all of you know that just like Abe Vigoda (pictured), I am still alive! I haven’t forgotten about all 12 or 13 of you. Been busy with work, my police academy application (now THAT is a frightening idea!) & a project I’m doing concerning the WBC and its affect on pitchers that season.

I should have a full post up tomorrow afternoon concerning the state of the Yankees’ defense. With the addition of Mark Teixeira at first and Brett Gardner taking over for Melky Cabrera in center field, there may be a few more Web Gems emanating from the Bronx this season. In an effort to back up any claims I may make, I’m also taking some extra time looking up Bill James’ “Fielding Bible.” All these new stats take a little while to digest, so I want to thank you ahead of time for your patience.
